Having arrived at Sound in September 2013, I hope to bring enthusiasm & a desire to succeed to the team!

Currently teaching in Onyx class (years 5&6), I strive to ensure that every pupil achieves their full potential.

Since a young age, I have had a passion for sport- coaching & competing for the county and nationally in a number of areas such as Equestrianism, Netball & Athletics. As the mother of a beautiful 4 year old daughter, I fully understand the importance of education from both a professional and parental perspective and hope to combine the knowledge I have gained in my degree in Sports Science and my experience in working with children & teaching in the classroom to enhance our pupils' experiences at Sound Primary school.

Since the age of 18 I have always worked with children, either as a nanny or in private day nurseries. I gained lots of experience including that of a deputy manager, running the nursery in the Managers absence. However having the opportunity to work in a school has always been an ambition of mine.
I joined the school in 2007 as a teaching assistant. I have worked across the school in every class and year groups. Both my Daughter and Son attended the school from Reception to year 6 before moving on to High school.
In 2014 I gained my Higher Level Teaching Assistant Status (HLTA) and currently work in Reception.
In my role as a Governor I hope to have a greater understanding of the needs of the school and how I can ensure the outstanding education of each and every child.
